Monsterologist Seeking Mistress of the Dark I'm a person who loves monsters and things that go bump in the night - so much so that I've gotten every book and movie about them that I can find. My apartment is filled with horror novels and monster movie memorabilia, and because I'm a bit loopy I guess, I keep my Halloween decorations up year round. In some ways my interest in horror has been pretty helpful, as a lot of my friends love my eccentric design tastes and massive movie library. It's given me a niche.

It hasn't been so helpful in the dating department, though.

I have a lot of lady friends who like my interests but are turned off romantically by them, and I'm fine with that because they're excellent friends. But it seems like my interests, for all the joy they bring me, are kind of becoming a barrier, and the only solutions I can see are to either cut them out (and thus cut out a key aspect of my own personality) or find someone who shares them.

Which brings me to this site, because where would you be more likely to find a horror nerd than the internet?

So if you love monsters - especially ones from gothic Victorian novels or 1950's drive in B-movies, and even more especially if you like Godzilla - let's strike up a conversation. At the very least it'd be fun to talk to more horror nerds - I don't think I can ever get enough of conversations about Dracula or H.G. Wells. And if anything more romantic blossoms, hey, let's call it a bonus.
