Scariest Movies

What is the scariest movie you've seen? Why was it so scary? Was it the story? the special effects? the acting?

`My scariest movie would have to be the Frankenville Experiment. Not well known, I know, I think it Canadian made. The reason it was so scary for me at the time was the small things in the effcts. I am very observent so it was little things like refection in mirrors or weird fuzziness in the screen. That what got to me because it was not really obvious so i am not sure it was intented to be there. But hey I was younger. Not sure if it would scare me now but I do know that the only movie I have seen to make me feel that way.

`The scariest movies I've seen yet is Event Horizon. It wasn't that the movie was about Hell, the jump scenes and sense of isolation really got me. I had to see it twice just to get through it. The weird thing is, it's one of my favorites.

`Megan is missing.
That movies is a found footage style and the first half is normal but the end is so intense, so unexpected, so brutal, you can't prepare for it.

This movies had any of jump scares, or possesses people, demons of super intelligent serial killers, is a more common place type of evil and a lot more powerful, this movies is made of nightmares.

`I gotta say the last thing that really made me give a glance at the lock on the door.. was "The Strangers". Prior to adulthood there are numerous ones that scare you when your young... when your not quite aware of the possibilities in real life.. what can happen.. and can't. You see situations on the news all the time that ring close to "the strangers", that really can happen.. But then again... i never thought i'd see a naked man eating another mans' face...
