Spooky times I think I've always been a horror fan. I saw Hellraiser at age 8, and the die was cast!

The psychology of fear continues to fascinate me as I get older, which is why psychologically-oriented horror is my favourite sub-genre. The influx of Asian creepy and surreal horror is just my thing. Ring, Dark Water, Tale of Two Sisters, Spiral, etc.

I enjoy the odd slasher here and there and some outright gore, but I've never been a fan of torture ---- (except where morbid fascination compels me) or horror-comedy. Army of Darkness is fun, but I wouldn't count it as a movie I can watch more than once. Sorry.

The Hellraiser and Alien series (well, maybe the first two entries in each) are massive favourites of mine. They're ace.
