The remake of Prom Night is my first ever horror film to watch. When I watched it I didn't know it was a remake until 2 years later. What I could recall because it was 17 years ago. It was August 2008. The night before I watched the film my parents watched the film. When I was trying to go to sleep I kept on hearing screaming and loud noises from the movie that my parents was watching. Out of all the movies that they watched especially back in the day. That prompted my curiosity. So the next day after school I asked my mom to watch the movie that they watched last night. She probably said yes. I don't know if there was any hesitation since I have never in my life of that point watched anything horror. My whole entire childhood to that point that I adore and still watch to this day was live action shows from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon from that era. But regardless I still watched it. From this day the only thing that recall from that day was the visuals of the movie.
