English bloke (guy) looking to meet others into all things horror. I'm looking to correspond with others into horror (of course!) literature/movies and art. (Faves of mine include:
Clive Barker, Brian Lumley, H. P. Lovecraft, Ramsey Campbell, Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, Kim Newman, E. A. Poe to name but a few.
Movie-wise: Dawn of the Dead (original), Hellraiser, Rosemary's Baby, The Cube, Halloween, Ringu/The Ring, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Orphanage...so many more but can never remember them when having to compile a list!! I also like fantay and dark fantasy such as The Crow, Pans Labrynth, Dark City, Hellboy, Tim Burton films, Deathnote, Franklyn and L.O.T.R's. (HUGE Tolkien nut!)
Other than horror I've been into hard rock and heavy metal since I was aabout 13 yrs old (so no chance of it being a 'phase' now!) after first hearing Black Sabbath and Van Halen. Again into masses of groups/artists and a taste would include: Sabbath, Ozzy, AC/DC, Nightwish, Dio, Joe Satriani, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Megadeth, Within Temtation, Primal Fear, Black Label Society, The Cult, Epica, Motorhead, Axel Rudi Pell and Whitesnake.
I like to paint (pictures and not doors...well unless I can create a mural on it!)
I'm pagan (Northern Tradition/Heathen) and would describe myself as a 'Shamanic Heathen.'
Have been told I'm sociable although when not in company that I'm comfortable in, I prefer to be by myself painting or reading. I have a dry and self depracting sense of humour which can be mistaken by others for having low self esteem but I tend to laugh at the world and dont take myself too seriously at times. I take friendship very seriously and dont see the point in aquaintances.
