Throughout my childhood and formative years, all film, but especially horror movies acted as conventions of comfort and daily escape just as all forms of art and entertainment do for each and every person with sense and soul. The good, the bad and the cheesy all have a place to be appreciated among the different tropes within genres of horror cinema.
My father being a lover of horror cinema himself, thought it appropriate that I too would participate in and gleen an enjoyment from the modern horror films of my generation's era. My first 'movie theater' movie was ALIENS.
In the late eighties and early 1990s, he took me to see NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, Halloween 4, Halloween 5, the 1990 remake of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, the remake of THE BLOB, ARMY OF DARKNESS, JASON GOES TO HELL, WOLF, PET CEMETERY, PREDATOR and a few more I'm forgetting.
Throughout the past few months, concerning horror films, I've started realizing, as silly as it may sound, my depth of appreciation of horror.
It would be really cool to share that intense appreciation of the horror film genre with a cute female.
